ISAD2008 Online Conference - "DON'T BE AFRAID OF STUTTERING" WILL BE LINKED HERE and "live" from October 1-22, 2008
2008 ASHA Convention When: November 20-22, 2008 Where: McCormick Place West Workshops: 2008 There are currently two main *free workshops running in the USA. Introduction Workshops: A one day workshop incorporating the “Where technology has a role to play in dysfluency” introduction Part I (am) and the ‘Hands On’ Part II (pm). Follow up sessions: “Advance Calibration of the VA601/i" (Part III). These workshops are for SLT/SLP’s who are doing assessments. "Will this work for me"” this session includes self assessment methodologies for PWS who have restricted access to therapy. AAF Training Venues in USA for 2008 TBA: Due to overwhelming interest in these introduction workshops these workshops have been extended into 2008/9 and the corresponding Advance workshops will be running during 2009. Please note Advanced Calibration workshops are only available to SLP who have completed sessions **1&2. CEU information will be posted here shortly.

 Vereniging Stottercentra Nederland (VSN) Er is een nieuw vloeiendheidsbevorderend oorapparaatje op de markt: VoiceAmp. De werking van het apparaat is gebaseerd op het koor-spraak principe: als je samen praat, gaat het spreken bij iemand die stottert vloeiender. Elk stottercentrum aangesloten bij de Vereniging Stottercentra Nederland heeft een apparaat. Iedereen kan een afspraak maken en het apparaatje uitproberen. De therapeut zorgt voor de juiste afstelling van het apparaat en zal het gebruik van het apparaat begeleiden. Tevens beschikken de Stottercentra over informatie hoe te handelen bij aanschaf. Op de eerstvolgende studiedag “Nieuws onder de Zon” in 2008 zullen we onze ervaringen presenteren. Vereniging Stottercentra Nederland

Conference) Another successful conference was held in July 2008 at St Catherine’s College, Oxford.
As well as a wealth of new research data, VoiceAmp were delighted with the initial results of the UK clinical trial of
the Telephone Assistive Device(TAD) presented by Monica Bray (Leeds University) and her team. We will keep you
updated on these developments. |
